Hi Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by! I've got a great card to share with you today and I owe it all to my son, Joey. So, before we get to the card details, let me tell you a little about this adventure in crafting, as I call it. My son came by earlier this week and said, 'When are you going to start streaming and uploading videos?'. Now, he asks me every so often because I literally just disappeared from YouTube and another Blog I previously started. I've been 'planning' the restart for far too many years now. Yes, years. LOL Procrastination is our worst enemy, am I right??!!
Anyway, his inquiry got me thinking...no time like the present, as they say. So, here we are! A brand new Blog with brand new posts to share with you. I will also start live streaming and working on those video uploads too!
Without further ado, if you've read up to this point, here is the card creation for today...
I made this card at a craft retreat for a dear friend's birthday after forgetting her original card at home! Have you ever done that? You make or buy a card for someone and then forget it or misplace it - ugh, I'm really good at that! LOL But I believe this one turned out pretty nice and I know she loves hummingbirds. :)
To make this A2 card, I used two Hero Arts stamp sets, Copic markers, ink pads/cubes, and some bling from my stash. Links to items or similar items are located below. The links provided are to my online store, Scrapsalot. Other items, not linked may be found online and usually through Amazon too. Here's a specific list of what I used to create this card:
- The images are are stamped on Hammermill 100# Premium Color Copy Cover.
- The background card stock is a woodgrain print from my stash.
- The card base is Neenah 80#.
- The hummingbird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Hummingbird Stamp Set (CM498)
- Stamped using Hero Hues Reactive Ink Cube in Pool Party and Hero Arts Core Ink Cubes in Amethyst and Pink Grapefruit.
- The beautiful flowers are from the Hero Arts & Gina K Friendship Blooms Collab Stamp Set (PR101)
- Stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
- Colored with Copic Markers, using T0, T1, RV00, RV10, RV21, RV23, YG45, YG63, G07 & G46.
- The sentiment is part of the Color Layering Hummingbird Stamp Set and is stamped with Hero Arts Core Ink in Amethyst.
- The silver bling is from stash. They are adhesive flat back silver dots, but I no longer have the packaging.
Congratulations on your Next New Adventure. I'm thrilled to be the proud owner of this lovely card - second round is just as good as the first. Always love all your beautiful cards. Best of luck! You've got this!!!
